The yawning gap between the “have” and the “have-not’s” and the long-felt aspirations of the marginalized, disadvantageous, deprived, wretched, down-trodden and the vulnerable and the pressing need of comprehensive development-under various paradigms of social-service sectors-at the grass-roots levelhas been the decisive step, towards formation of this voluntary organization, by name, ‘Raghunathpur Nabajagaran Society’- at Village: Raghunathpur falling under Mandirbazar block in South 24-Parganas district of West Bengal, way back in 2005-06. The primary aim for which this voluntary organization was formed are to addressed the sufferings of the commoners and the vulnerable at the grass-roots level.
The Philosophy ? Facilitation towards upward graph in Human Development Index [H.D.I] at the grass-roots level .

(ii)Interventions in Water, Sanitation & Hygienic(WASH) programs;
(iii) Mother & Child Care development with an emphasis on girl child;
(iv) Women empowerment programs through SHG formation, savings-thrift and micro-credit activities ;
(v) Bio-diversity conservation programs; (vi)diversified/ alternative rural income-centric innovative programs;
(vii) Organic farming; &
(viii)interventions in livelihood facilitation processes through natural resource management.
